To start V-Ray go to the Tools menu V-Ray Toys->Start V-Ray. When you restart SketchUp, V-Ray will not be loaded automatically. To enable Load V-Ray on Demand, go to the Tools menu, choose: V-Ray Toys->Load V-Ray on Demand. It's also useful if you don't like the extra 3-5 seconds V-Ray adds to SketchUp's startup time.
